Hawksmoor Brings a Taste of London to Boston’s Fort Point

Hawksmoor Boston steakhouse dining room in Fort Point featuring rich wood finishes, leather seating, and elegant lighting.

Boston’s dining scene is welcoming an exciting new addition this fall. Hawksmoor, the celebrated London steakhouse known for exceptional steaks, sustainable seafood, creative cocktails, and relaxed hospitality, will officially open its first Boston location on September 8, 2026.

Located at 15 Necco Street in Fort Point, the restaurant will occupy the ground floor of a LEED Platinum-certified building overlooking the Fort Point Channel. The expansive space will accommodate approximately 280 guests between its indoor dining room and waterfront terrace, creating a striking new destination for everything from after-work drinks to celebratory dinners. Reservations are now open.

Founded in London in 2006 by childhood friends Will Beckett and Huw Gott, Hawksmoor has grown into an internationally recognized restaurant group with locations throughout the United Kingdom, Ireland, New York, and Chicago. Boston will become its 15th location, opening during the brand’s 20th anniversary year.

A Menu Inspired by London and Boston

Steak remains at the center of the Hawksmoor experience. Traditionally dry-aged cuts are seasoned with Maldon sea salt, cooked over high-heat charcoal, and served with roasted bone marrow. The menu will also showcase sustainably sourced seafood and several dishes developed specifically for the Boston location.

Local additions include a lobster crumpet inspired by the classic New England lobster roll and a beer-battered fish butty prepared with local haddock and jalapeño tartar sauce. Guests can also expect Hawksmoor favorites such as sticky toffee pudding, alongside Boston-inspired desserts including a Fluffernutter sundae and Sky Bar tributes honoring the candy once produced at the nearby NECCO factory.

On Sundays, Hawksmoor will bring one of Britain’s most beloved traditions to Boston. Its signature Sunday roast features slow-cooked, dry-aged beef served with Yorkshire puddings, beef-dripping roasted potatoes, seasonal vegetables, and bone marrow and onion gravy.

Cocktails on the Fort Point Channel

Hawksmoor’s award-winning bar program will be another major draw. The restaurant’s long brass-topped bar will serve established favorites such as the Sour Cherry Negroni, Shaky Pete’s Ginger Brew, and its famously cold Direct Martinis, served at approximately minus 2 degrees Fahrenheit.

New cocktails inspired by Boston and a selection of local beers will connect the international restaurant with its new neighborhood. During warmer months, the waterfront terrace will offer an inviting setting for lunch, cocktails, private gatherings, and evenings overlooking the channel.

A Natural Addition to Fort Point

With its historic warehouse architecture, creative energy, and proximity to the Seaport and downtown Boston, Fort Point offers a fitting home for Hawksmoor. The restaurant’s design will complement that character through deep blue and green paneled walls, leather and velvet seating, warm wood, and brass finishes.

Despite its sophisticated setting, Hawksmoor is intentionally relaxed. There are no white tablecloths, formal dress requirements, or overly traditional steakhouse conventions. Instead, the experience is designed to feel welcoming, lively, and comfortable.

The arrival of Hawksmoor adds another internationally recognized name to Boston’s evolving culinary landscape while bringing something distinctly British to the city. With waterfront views, thoughtfully sourced ingredients, destination-worthy cocktails, and a fresh take on the classic steakhouse, it is already shaping up to be one of Boston’s most anticipated openings of the year.
